Pilates targets at training the core muscles of one’s body trunk with systematic motor training on the muscles and rhythmic breathing, one’s deep layer of muscles are strengthened and can maintain “natural girdle” that helps to improve the stability of the spinal cord, shoulders and the pelvis as well as the balance of muscles and adjust the postures in order to lessen the burden of the joints.

A middle-aged client has been suffering from back and waist pain for long while and needed to sit down after walking for every 10 minutes or so. That is reli inconvenient to him and the consistent pain causes insomnia to him. After 8 weeks of Pilates and post-recovery training, adjustments and improvement of postures, the client could walk for one hour and above and his work efficiency was greatly raised too. Without back and waist pain, he could fall into sleep easily.

A lady who gave birth to a baby 10 weeks ago underwent Pilates training twice a week and with diet control she managed to be back to the original weight and body shape within 4.5 months.

Regarding academic information or lectures

Since the beginning of 2014, Eva has been teaching Pilates in P.E. classes of secondary school s. so that more youths could understand the importance of Pilates and rectify their wrong postures and habits so that Pilates can gain popularity and be welcomed by youngsters.

December 2015, Eva was invited by the swimming coach team of the Hong Kong Sports Institute, Shatin, to organise “Pilates workshop” in using Pilates exercises to raise the fitness of swimming learners, especially for their abs, back and gluteus. The swimming coaches all have great feedback regarding the use of Pilates in training core muscles and the workshop was well received

Regarding self-training

I used to be a clerical worker but given I had passion towards sports, I signed up for fitness courses at the age of 42 and changed my field to fitness trainer. I kept continued education and apart from body building, I also taught funky dance, Bollywood, Yoga and mainly promote Pilates and post-recovery treatment training.

Regarding contributions to the industry

I was the first runner-up of the Women’s Body Physique competition in 2011 and 2012. I have been working in the fitness industry and helping athletes and students to achieve their ideal health results.
